Settings
Accounts
Create and manage your trading accounts.
The Accounts tab lists your trading accounts and lets you create or edit them. An account is created automatically during import, but you can also configure it manually.
Create an account
Open the form
Click "Add account".
Fill in the fields
- Name: Unique account identifier (filled automatically from the display name)
- Display name: Short name used in the interface (e.g.:
Main Account) - Full name: More detailed description (optional)
- Starting capital: Initial amount (optional)
- Custom fields: Free key/value pairs to extend the account in the future. Currently used for aliases (see below) — other uses will come later.
Save
Click Save. The account appears immediately in the list.
Aliases and custom fields
Aliases allow you to link multiple account names (from different imports) to the same TradeJourney account. They support wildcards (* and ?) to match name patterns. You can also add your own custom fields (key/value) to annotate an account.
Actions on an account
For each account, several actions are available:
| Action | Effect |
|---|---|
Edit | Edit the account information |
Delete account | Deletes the account and its trades |
Delete trades | Deletes all trades from the account (the account is kept) |
Delete inactive trades | Deletes only disabled trades (soft delete) |
Deleting an account or its trades is permanent. Remember to make a backup beforehand.
Filters
Use the advanced filters at the top of the list to find an account by display name or full name.
